Join Riverford for a day of food and fun on their Devon farm, to raise money for Wessex Heartbeat.

The day will start at 8.30am, when a coach collects everyone from Blechynden Terrace in Southampton. You’ll be driven down to Riverford on Wash Farm, set amongst the beautiful rolling hills of south Devon, where we have been farming organically for 30 years.

First, everyone will sit down to a three-course lunch at our award-winning farm restaurant, the Field Kitchen. Expect an outstanding organic feast of freshly-picked seasonal produce, straight from the surrounding fields. Uniquely, everyone sits together at long tables, with generous platters of food to pass around and share.

After lunch, the group will split in two. One half will head down to head gardener Penny Hemming’s polytunnel for a talk on growing your own, packed with useful tips and tricks. The others will stay in the Field Kitchen and get stuck into a bread-making workshop with Riverford chefs. The two groups will then swap activities.

There will just be time to stop at the Farm Shop for some organic treats to take home, before the coach heads back to Southampton for 6pm.

Tickets are £40pp. A donation from each ticket price goes straight to Wessex Heartbeat – helping to support patients and their loved ones treated at the Wessex Cardiac Centre, Southampton General Hospital.
